I Bike Tuscany

If during your stay in Florence you plan to visit beautiful Siena (a UNESCO World Heritage Site thought by many to be the best-preserved medieval city in Europe), there is simply no better - or more scenic - way to get there! This tour has it all, combining biking, wine tasting, history and sightseeing.

You'll spin through the hills of the Chianti countryside (at your own pace, and yes, van supported!) along some of the most idyllic cypress and olive tree-lined roads in Tuscany. Visit the quaint medieval towns of Panzano and Castellina in Chianti before stopping off for a tasting at Fonterutoli, one of the area's top wineries.

Siena is ahead, waiting for you to stroll in the afternoon its ancient streets, visit its remarkable Duomo and perhaps enjoy a gelato in the famous Piazza del Campo. No need to conserve energy. You'll relax in the van for the return trip to Florence (or surrounding area) where we'll drop you directly at your hotel.

ITINERARY

From your hotel in Florence (or surrounding area) you'll be transfered by van to Panzano in Chianti, our tour starting point. From there a long, lovely downhill (and then uphill...) will take you to the medieval town of Castellina in Chianti and then to Fonterutoli in one of the most picturesque areas of the Chianti. Enjoy a wine tasting, then continue your adventure towards Siena. Arrive in the early afternoon and take your time for sightseeing and lunch. At day's end, the van will take you back to Florence, directly to your hotel.
